Introduction

 

Programme Objective

- To equip students with more in-depth understanding of specialised Mass Communications subjects in the Print, Broadcasts, Advertising and Public Relations

- To enhance the effectiveness of students’ practical skills and techniques through action-based training

- To enable participants to pursue an undergraduate degree in the field of Mass Communications

 

Assessment Methods

Modules will be assessed through a combination of coursework and examinations depending on the individual module objectives. The proportion of marks attributed to coursework and final examinations is subject to the discretion of individual lecturers and varies according to different modules.

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be of age 16 and above and meet at least one of the following requirements:

- 2 GCE 'A' Levels in any subjects; or

- International Foundation Diploma in Mass Communications from MDIS; or

- Relevant Diplomas from local polytechnics or other PEIs (with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education); or

- International applicants must have completed 12 years of formal education.

 

Language Proficiency

Applicants must meet at least one of the following English Language requirements:

- At least a C6 pass for English (EL1) at GCE 'O' level or equivalent; or

- Achieve a minimum band of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent; or

- Pass the English Entrance Test conducted by MDIS; or

- MDIS Professional Certificate in English.
