Job Description
Bid Manager 

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Leading bid teams to develop best-in-class proposals that will enable us to increase the number of profitable mega-deals we win in support of our global services led strategies and growth targets. 
  • Ensuring that bids are compliant with client requirements, deliver superior value proposition and provide a sustainable profitable business return. 
  • Managing the overall deal pursuit process in partnership with all Stake-holders - coordinating the response to tender, proposal content, conformance to requirement, Business & Financial Analysis, Solution Design and potential post-sales support. 
  • Ensuring adherence to Deal Governance Process. 
Responsibilities:
  • Assembles and Leads bid teams (including Sales professionals, subject matter experts, Principles/Managing Principles, Consultants, functional experts, Solution Architects, Service Transition and Service Delivery professionals) to complete deal pursuits. 
  • Leads development of best-in-class proposals, including allocating specific tasks and responsibilities to all stake-holders and inspecting their work products to ensure quality control, consistency and clarity of key messages 
  • Ensures robust qualification and business case development process 
  • Ensures contracting risk management is utilized during each deal pursuit process in line in line with DGP and corporate requirements 
  • Develops and manages the bid development project plan 
  • Drives profitability and cost reduction through re-use, best practice processes and knowledge sharing 
  • Provides expert support and input to bid management issues 
  • Ensures resource requirements are identified and available 
  • Monitors and inspects bid status 
  • Leads the bid project team to successful contract close 
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree and preferably including postgraduate degree (e.g. MBA) 
  • Significant deal pursuit or Bid Management experience in outsourcing key areas of a business 
  • A proven track record of formulating and selling Services Value propositions at C-level for $10M+ contracts 
  • Extensive experience of leading cross-functional and cross entity teams in complex projects for formulating, pricing and implementing integrated equipment and services-based business solutions 
  • Ability to adhere to strict time-line requirements & continue to function well under work pressures 
  • High IT awareness/literacy (nice to have) 
  • Strong leadership 
  • Team building and facilitation skills
