Responsible for planning, overseeing and managing IT projects from initiation to release.
Work with project, operation and vendor teams to manage Oracle databases.
Able to elicit/analyse database requirements and to evaluate/review designs.
Able to create or recommend solutions by defining factors such as database physical structure, functional capabilities, database security, data backup and recovery specifications.
Revise existing systems or install new systems by proposing proper specifications and data flow and recommending optimum application access techniques.
Improves database performance by calculating the optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases/patches and completing maintenance requirements.
Supports database functions by designing and coding utilities.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Create and present reports/documentations. Set or define key indicators in order to quantitatively track project status.
Ensure that the project status and progress are communicated to the project stakeholders, members and contributors in a meaningful and timely manner.
Act as chair or participates in project planning sessions to steer the project towards the objectives.
Ensure that the project is driven consistently based on the overall strategy.
Review not only oracle documents but also the other infrastructure documents and deliverables, which relate to oracle, from vendor/external system teams based on SMBC/JRI quality standards and regulatory policies.
Bachelor of Engineering/Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized institution.
Minimum 8 years of working experience, out of which at least 3 years in banking or financial institute.
Database management and operation.
Database performance tuning.
Database security and Information security policies.
Presenting technical information.
Quality focus and attention to detail
Promoting process improvement.
Database administration qualification such as Oracle MASTER
Knowledge in not only oracle but also storage, network, backup, clustering based on Linux / UNIX OS technologies.
Able to review the other infrastructure documents which relates to oracle.
Japanese language skill is an advantage but not mandatory.
