Job Description

The Project Manager, Networks, Business Unit (Consumer SG) plays a key liaison role within Group IT in delivering strategic business goals to Singtel Group through effective business stakeholder management and leadership in technical project/program delivery involving Singtel Business Units

Responsibility:
  1. Foster and strengthen customer relationship with business and technical stakeholders with Networks Business Unit (Consumer SG) growth strategy
  2. Collaborate with Networks Business Unit(Consumer SG) to understand business and technical requirements, and formulate a value-driven solution proposal
  3. Lead and manage cross-functional teams across Singtel Group, including Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, IT, Engineering, Business Process resources, so as to achieve business outcomes through effective technical solution delivery
  4. Manage Networks, Consumer SG and achieve high customer satisfaction
  5. Develop appropriate project plan with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and risk mitigation/contingency plans for technical solution delivery
  6. Establish communication, risk management, issue prioritization and quality assurance plans
  7. Execute project plan and track project progress closely so as to ensure adherence to the triple constraints (budget, schedule, scope)
  8. Provide regular status reports of key performance indicators for projects and escalate any issues as appropriate
  9. Prepare documentation, seek approval and monitor utilization of project funding (CAPEX and OPEX budget)
  10. Ensure proper project documentation such as Functional Specification, Non-Functional Specification, Technical Specification, User Acceptance Test Plan, System Acceptance/Integration Test Plan
  11. Keep abreast of emerging IT trends and technologies
  12. Assign duties, responsibilities, and appropriate extent of authority to project personnel


Requirement
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Engineering with major in IT, Telecommunications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in account management and project management in the Telco or IT industry
  • Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams in Telco, Business, IT or application projects
  • Culturally sensitive with experience working across the Asia Pacific region
  • Practical experience in managing an Agile project in the Telco or IT industry
  • Knowledge in business/project management, financial & analytics
  • Experience in project management methodologies, e.g. Waterfall and Agile
  • Technical knowledge of Internet, application technologies, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts
  • High-level understanding of Telco, IT and adjacent businesses & emerging technologies e.g. Big Data, Internet of Things
  • Technical knowledge of end-to-end solutions, including the system architecture
  • Formal certification in Project Management would be advantageous (e.g. PMP, Agile, Scrum)
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels
  • Refined business acumen for customer relationship management and partner/vendor management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at senior level
  • Ability to thrive when working under pressure to deliver business outcomes
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, meticulous and willing to learn
  • Adept in using Microsoft Powerpoint for intuitive presentation to business stakeholders
