Liaise and maintain good working relationships with business leaders as well as global IS managers (Head of Infrastructure Systems, Leaders of Applications, Global Governance Manager etc.) to understand their current and future information needs and determine who information systems should be installed, configured and maintained to best meet their needs
Partner with IT vendors, external stakeholders and users on system matters
Manage vendors to ensure their commitment and quality of work with optimum cost.
Project Initiation and Management
Recommend suitable IS project portfolio based on the understanding of the client's Asia’s business environment, business model and company strategy as well as Global IS’s strategy and architecture.
Plan, prioritize, and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization’s information systems function reliably and that IT resources are used effectively
Manage the project as IS Project Manager or as a key member and measure performance to ensure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget
Depending on the characteristics of the project, perform various systems implementation activities such as design and development.
Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to business key stakeholders and/or global IS teams.
Make recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues.
Service Management and System Utilization
Ensure the systems are managed based on a good Service Management processes, and the service level meets the target.
Monitor the usage of the systems and help users utilize the functionalities. Research, evaluate and recommend enhancement of the system and processes to increase the capabilities of the organization’s information systems
Keep abreast of technological advancement, emerging standards, and new software/hardware solutions
Develop and maintain IT policies, guidelines, feedback procedures and relevant training sessions to users
Provide basic support to users to troubleshoot PC, laptops, mobile devices, software-related programs, network and server access issues.
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of information systems professional and support staff to ensure that the organization’s information systems are supported effectively and within budget.
Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline
At least 8 years of IS/IT professional experiences with at least 3 years of regional experience. Experience in pharmaceutical industry will be an added advantage.
Strong background on system analysis and design as well as knowledge of accounting, sales & distributions and SAP planning/deployment/maintenance
Practical project management skills, with ability to manage and implement technologies. PMP certification is preferred.
Excellent project and technical documentation skills
Fundamental knowledge on ITIL
Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English
