My client is a renowned MNC in the chemical manufacturing industry. They are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team.
You are responsible for the full set of accounts of the reporting countries under your charge. Working closely with the shared service finance team, you will ensure the accounting is in compliance with US GAAPs, Group policies and statutory requirements. You will manage the closing activities, reporting package and variance analysis. You will also prepare the annual statutory financial statements, monthly cash flow statements and quarterly cash forecasting. Reviewing of accounts payable, approval of payment, fixed assets, costing and inventory activities forms part of your responsibilities. You will be the main liaison for GST, Corporate tax and audit matters. As a finance business partner for the Operations team, you will manage cost, expense and budgeting of operational units to drive productivity/efficiency improvement.
Ideally, you are an Accounting & Finance or Business Administration Bachelor degree holder with minimum 2-3 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment coupled with 2 years' experience in an external audit CPA firm. Technical competency in costing and management is preferred but not compulsory. You are a strong team player who can work independently when required. You can communicate effectively across all business level and possess a sound knowledge of the US GAAP. Proficiency in SAP will be highly advantageous.
