Job Objectives

This is a business and support analyst role who also serves as deputy to the team lead within the centralised Market Data Services team. The individual is expected to:-
  • To provide centralised market data support for the Bank and voice recording application systems support for Global Markets business.
  • To manage and foster relationships with market data vendors and internal Business and Technology professionals consuming market data products.
  • Act as an adviser and also delivering the exact products which can fulfil each individual business requirements at the best possible price.
  • Manage and deliver cost and data usage optimisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24 x 7 application production support and monitoring activities for TREP-RT and NICE voice recording systems.
  • Support responsibilities include IT systems disaster recovery, BCP support for business units, batch job monitoring for the centralised market data system, data rules structures maintenance and configuration setup in the centralised market data system
  • Source new and identify alternate products for existing Market Data related product and services; including data subscriptions, news, research, credit ratings and reference data used throughout the Bank
  • Work closely with Service managers and/or end users to clearly capture and define market data requirements
  • Research and analyse market/financial data from internal and external resources to effectively recommend Market Data sources to projects as when required
  • Conduct vendor management activities like product and services global commercial terms negotiations, monitoring and measuring vendor service level agreements against contractual terms and vendor engagement on system and process improvement opportunities
  • Be the go to person for user community on contractual terms and conditions
  • Review contract expiration reports and work with business stakeholders to process renewals
  • Perform compliance reviews with external auditors on existing products and services to ensure contractual compliance
  • Document market data usage governance processes and procedures for standardization across the region
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end usage reports declaration for Market Data products and services

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
  • Minimal 5 years of sourcing and support experience in Market Data
  • Strong technical knowledge in market data and trading products and services
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment with minimal supervision
  • Must be independent, hardworking, proactive, detailed oriented and structured self-starter and strong team player with excellent interpersonal, problem solving, organisational, presentation and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of multiple financial assets. i.e. FX, Interest Rates, Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Structured products,
  • Strong knowledge of market data systems including Reuters and Bloomberg multi-vendor contribution platforms - Reuters TREP-RT and Eikon, Open Bloomberg and B-PIPE services
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), VBA, Unix/Linux/MS NT scripting
Good to have:
  • MS Access and Sharepoint 2013 development experience
  • Control-M Batch scheduling and Aldon version control
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certified
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in market data license and billing management tools like Screen InfoMatch
