The performance of organizations is among the top agendas in any management, and quite rightly so. Many organizations however are measuring the wrong square peg in a round hole , as demonstrated by them being like busy bees without collecting any honey. And since you cannot hope to manage what you cannot measure properly, it is no wonder many are not performing up to expectations. You may end up praising the bad and reprimanding the good. This session aims to gel the understanding of KPI and incorporate into the performance appraisal system, making the latter fair, objective, and transparent.


The participants will be able to: - Define KPI and its relevance to the participants areas of responsibility

- Set expectations and work together to improve performance - Assess and review performance strengths and weaknesses

4. Right & wrong types of KPI

- How to set the correct KPI incorporating industry and departmental perpectives?

5. Parkinson Principle and Goal or Target Setting

Day 2

6. System concept & Review system

- What is a management system?

- Why should there be a review for performance?

7. Understanding Performance Appraisal (PA) System, with JD perspectives

- Common problems with PA system: case study

- How to fix these?

8. How to systemize the PA properly

- Objectivity

- Fairness

- Transparency and Favoritism

- case for your organization, including promotion guideline

9. Summary and Workshop: 1) Set KPI for respective areas or departments, 2) Help to explain to subordinates how KPI is applied to performance appraisal system
