Introduction
In the rapid changes besetting society, the Singapore's non-profit sector, being relatively new, faces a challenge of effective leadership, posing a significant constraint on the responsive and effective administering of non-profit services for the population. In order for their organisations to deliver quality services, non-profit leaders need to possess a host of administrative skills, the capacity to manage physical and human resources, strong accountability and governance driven by a set of ethics and values, as well as keen insight into the complexity of the social and political landscape. Moreover, effective leadership has to be strategic and forward-looking in order to anticipate growing social needs, thereby taking an active position in shaping the social landscape of the future.
