Learn the basics of drawing and how to design objects of everyday objects with Solidworks in this two-day course. Find out how to incorporate your design ideas and fabricate them with the skills of 3D prototyping assembly for 3D printing with FDM printers. You will also get to bring home your design artefacts. This course is suitable for those who want to know how to draw simple 3D models and fabricate your designs into the real world.
Participants will be able to:
Identify the capabilities and limitations of Fused Depositing Machine.
Plan a design project with basic knowledge of the additive manufacturing process. Design small objects and fabricate them with an FDM 3D printer.
Create assembly drawings in Solidworks to validate designs before printing object with multiple parts.
3D Print objects with multiple parts from simple assembly drawing
Designers, engineers, inventors, or anyone who wishes to create their own 3D prototypes.
Basic IT literacy, and some experience in using computer-aided design or engineering programmes.
Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of the attendance.
