This two-day course focuses on two key concepts of user-centered design - empathy and user testing. Participants will explore how these concepts can be applied in the process of software development. Hands-on activities and discussions will be used throughout the workshop for participants to experience the design process. This introductory course is suitable for anyone with programming backgrounds in developing software such as websites, applications, and games, and who seek to enhance the usefulness and usability of the products through the user-centered design approach.
Participants will be able to:
Web, mobile and games designers, programmers and developers who wish to learn more about user-centred design.
Basic knowledge in computer programming is preferred.
Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of the attendance.
