The roles core function includes but not limited to the following:
General Ledger
- Ensure Integrity of all entries entered into the General Ledger are checked and verified, before posting to MYOB, by reviewing the Preview Posting Report
- Need to ensure all account and cost centre numbers are showing correctly and there are no unusual entries showing on the report.
Fixed Asset Register/s:
- Maintain Fixed Asset Registers.
- Assist with the planned setup and entry of the various asset registers into the respective MYOB databases, when required.
Various Reconciliations:
- Ensure the various reconciliations, such as accruals, prepayments and other required general ledger reconciliations are completed, at each month end.
- Ensure all monthly transactions are processed and the subsequent monthly Bank Reconciliations are completed each month.
Budget Preparation:
- Assist with the Annual Budget Preparation process, for all entities, as required
Month end processing and reporting:
- Complete and assist with month end processing.
- Ensure all required month end transactions, including Journals, Accruals and Prepayments are processed accordingly for each cost centre, under your control;
Assist with Monthly / Quarterly BAS Preparation, as required.
Sort, Verify and Process the monthly Credit Card Account Statement.
- Need to ensure all expenses on statement are correct and then correctly coded to the correct general ledger account, then processed into MYOB.
- Need to also ensure that a copy of the respective Tax Invoice is provided so that the expense is checked and processed. then attached to the statement, for record keeping purposes.
Fringe Benefits Tax
- As required, need to sort and review expenses, where applicable, to determine if there are any FBT implications with any of these and record and then code to relevant genera ledger account accordingly.
Other varied tasks as requested by the Financial Controller.


Experience in using accounting tools - XERO and MYOB
Able to work under minimal supervision.
Adept in learning new workflows and tasks.
