Job Description

  • Has relevant experience covering credit analysis and credit rating work 
  • Numerate, analytical and comfortable working with large amounts of data in Excel 


Our client is a renowned financial institution with a global presence. An opportunity now exists for a seasoned Associate Director, Investor Relations & CF (Credit) to join the team in the IR/Corp Finance department)

Responsibilities

Corporate Finance – Credit


Debt & Credit Analysis
  • Develop framework to assess the investment firm’s credit from fundamental first principles 
  • Develop policies framework for determining how much debt the firm should take and the optimal debt mix, factoring in Temasek’s credit assessment framework 
  • Drive regular monitoring and reporting of the firm’s credit position 
  • Build financial models for simulations and peer analysis. 


Credit Ratings
  • Develop and execute engagement strategy with credit rating agencies 
  • Drive engagement with credit rating agencies on the firm’s ratings as well as rating methodologies 
  • Lead cross-functional team and drive analysis and engagement of rating agencies on changes to rating methodologies 
  • Provide ratings advisory services to investment teams on impact to: 
  • the firm’s rating for certain investments or divestments 
  • Rating of investee’s companies. 


Requirements
  • 6-12 years of relevant work experience 
  • Recognised Degree qualification in Finance/Economics/Business/Engineering, with additional major in Mass Communications/Marketing a bonus 
  • Experience with credit analysis and engagement with credit rating agencies preferred 
  • Enjoys working on a large variety of topics 
  • Experience in running large scale/high profile events advantageous 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Numerate, analytical and comfortable working with large amounts of data in Excel 
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills, including basic PowerPoint animation 
  • Creative and with strong attention to details & colours 
  • A self-starter attitude, adaptable, teachable, able to multi-task well in a fast-paced environment 
  • Good team player with the ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
