In a challenging and multicultural environment, we seek a Java application deployment specialist to join our Application deployment team.

The candidate will deploy and provide level 1&2 support for the core banking system of the bank. The application includes modules related to accounting, back office transactions, payments, risks, and reporting for local regulator or Head Office in Paris.

Main responsibilities

- Application deployment and level 1&2 support during SIT, UAT and production implementation for the core banking system of the bank (for Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa)
- Prepare and maintain installation instruction document
- Creation of Automatic installation scripts
- Ensure that UAT incidents and enquiries from the business users are followed until their appropriate closure (incident communication, root cause analysis and permanent resolution)
- Engagement with the development teams on a regular basis, and appropriate escalation of critical queries
- Monitoring of batches to ensure that any incident is solved in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation

Qualifications and Profile

- The candidate should have a related diploma (IT, finance) with less than 4 years experience in deployment and support, with exposure to Banking industry.

Technical skills

- Hand on experience on Java, WebSphere, UNIX, Shell scripting.

- Hand on experience on RDBMS Oracle 9.x/10g/11g, TOAD, PL/SQL and Control M

- Exposure in data warehouse and business intelligence tool (Business Objects) is an advantage

- Exposure control M and ETL tool is an advantage

Project methodology

- Good knowledge of all phases of the system development /implementation life cycle (SDLC)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

- Self motivated and excellent team player

- Perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management

- Knowledge of French language is welcome
