Conducting engineering audits on MROs, vendors, overseas Technical Handling Agents and contracted engineering support organisations, including pre-operation audits.
Reviewing Airworthiness Directives and other mandatory instructions from Aviation Authorities and manufactures and ensuring compliance.
Assist in monitoring aircraft fleet reliability trends and coordinating Reliability meetings.
Monitoring the application of Minimum Equipment List and Dispatch Authorisation to ensure aircraft is dispatched in accordance with airworthiness requirements.
Overseeing the Soft Life Control and Life Limited Parts system.
Evaluating requests for concession grant to the aircraft from approved Aircraft Maintenance Schedule to meet aircraft ad-hoc usage.
Ensuring the Flight Data Recorders annual readout and Cockpit Voice Recorder functional check programmes are performed on the fleet to ensure compliance with the CAAS requirements.
Investigating into mandatory occurrence reports, incidents and accidents, which affect aircraft and coordinating recommendations and corrective actions for continuous improvement of aircraft performance.
Ensuring proper Technical Records system on Scoot aircraft is maintained.
Oversee and administer all airworthiness related activities to support Entry-Into-Service (EIS) of new fleet type(s).
Assist in airworthiness compliance process for aircraft sale and lease, i.e. being involved in determining aircraft compliance to requirements, completeness of technical records, declaration letters and obtaining CAAS Export Certificate of Airworthiness.
Assist in activities pertaining to de-registration and registration of used aircraft.
Maintaining regular communications with the CAAS, other regulatory authorities, Engineering Department, and contracted organisations on airworthiness matters.
Requirements Essential Skills
Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical, Aeronautical or related field.
At least 8 to 10 years of working experience in Quality Assurance in commercial aviation.
Attended Quality Management System (QMS) Lead Auditor course or equivalent.
Completion of CAAS M09 and M10 courses or equivalent.
Possess a valid CAAS SAR-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with A320/V2500/PW1100G and/or B787/Trent1000.
Possesses working knowledge of IOSA Standards and Recommended Practices (ISARPS) for Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance (MNT).
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Good understanding of CAAS AOCR, SAR, SAR Part 145 regulatory airworthiness requirements, including SMS, FAA/EASA regulations and ISO 9001 QMS principals.
Possesses good working experience in Quality auditing principles.
Possesses good working knowledge in the operations of Fleet Technical Management and Maintenance & Repair of commercial aviation.
Possess good experience in aircraft sale and induction.
Familiar with commercial aircraft systems, maintenance activities and its operations.
IT proficient with good knowledge in Microsoft Office.
