Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Liaison (70%)
  • Provide ongoing compliance advisory and support to key business units (BUs) on various business initiatives and new regulatory developments, in order to ensure that the BUs are compliant.
  • Conduct gap assessments on new regulatory developments, liaise with BUs to ensure new regulatory requirements are properly implemented, gaps noted are closely monitored to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support and ensure regulatory registers / portal are kept up to date and timely certified by Senior Management, regulatory obligations are effectively embedded into business, monitor and ensure proper remediation of any lapses noted.
  • Assist to support the Risk & Compliance Champion framework (RCC) in AIAS, to liaise with and proactively engage/ train the RCCs to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded into the business.
  • Arrange engagement/ training sessions with the RCCs on at least quarterly basis.
  • Assist in Regulatory Liaison work i.e. prepare and collate reports/ information required by key Regulators e.g. LIA, MAS and CPFB, to assist in regulatory queries, engagement sessions with Regulators and/or external auditors to ensure AIAS relationship with key Regulators are well managed.
  • Assist in review of new and existing outsourcing arrangements in the annual due diligence exercise from regulatory perspective.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks/ projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Group Reporting/Regulatory Reporting (15%)
Assist in preparing reports required by Group Office and filings required by regulators, including the following:
  • Prepare Monthly Investment Compliance Dashboard for Senior Management;In the event of an investment breach or pricing error, drafting of notifications to be sent to MAS and CPF Board, where applicable, within 3 business days after becoming aware of the breaches and to notify MAS and CPF Board once compensation, if any, has been completed.
  • Assist to address queries by Group in relation to any regulatory breaches, inspection related matters.

Investment Compliance (15%)
  • Conduct frequent fund switching review.
  • Conduct AML/ economic sanction screening of new external fund managers and existing fund managers of ILP sub-funds.
  • Conduct Quarterly FATCA review of ILP sub-funds.
  • Review Compliance reports (monthly, semi-annually, annually) received from external fund managers for both managed ILP sub-funds and feeder ILP sub-funds.
  • Assist in regular Compliance monitoring reviews under the Investment Governance Framework.

Key Requirements
  • Min. Bachelor Degree background (diploma or degree equivalent) with emphasis on accountancy, business/ business administration/ business management/business studies or commerce.
  • Min. 1-2 year experience in compliance/regulatory profession in the financial advisory industry will be an added advantage
  • Insurance qualifications e.g. CMFAS M5, M8, M9, M9A, Health Insurance and MAS regulations in relation to fund management e.g. MAS Code on CIS, MAS 307 and CPF Investment Guidelines will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to think independently, project management, good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point
  • Excellent team player and good work attitude.
