Job Description

Business Function
 
Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.
The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer.
Corporate Development supports the Bank in the origination and execution of key strategic transaction, including mergers and acquisitions, investments and joint ventures, divestments and other ad hoc strategic initiatives, to maximise the Bank’s financial and competitive position. Corporate Development also supports the Bank’s group ecosystem strategy in facilitating ecosystem partnerships and priorities across all business units and in the region.
 
Responsibilities 
You will be part of the dynamic team responsible for identifying, originating and executing strategic transactions.  The job requires you to provide advisory services to the Bank and its business groups and assist management and the board in the execution of strategic business decisions. 
You will also be part of the team that facilitates and supports the Bank’s group ecosystem strategy from planning, executing and scaling up appropriate ecosystem partnerships across the region. 
As an important team member, you will have the opportunity to support a variety of assignments, perform mergers & acquisitions analysis (evaluation, valuation/pricing, structuring and negotiation) and gain in-depth exposure to the breadth of our regional business and the complexity of our operations and products.   

Requirements   
  • 4 - 6 years of relevant working experience in the banking / financial industry
  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business is preferred 
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance principles (accounting and legal principles) 
  • Strong ability to design and interpret complex financial models and valuation 
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Positive work and learning attitude 
  • Good team player that is able to contribute constructive ideas
