The Employer
Our client is Asia’s leading media organisation, engaging minds and enriching lives across multiple languages and platforms. The company's core business is publishing of newspapers, magazines and books in both print and digital editions. It also owns other digital products, online classifieds, radio stations and outdoor media.


The Job
As an Audience Strategy Specialist, you will help to set strategy and manage the execution of audience development plans across all media platforms of a leading newspaper. You will create off-site strategies on how to tell digital stories on new and old platforms.

You will identify emerging growth tactics and new platforms to grow the community using an analytical approach to all levers and platforms. To be successful in this role, you must be a native user of data analytics tools who can make informed strategic and audience decisions.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a strategist and a go-between all areas of audience growth and engagement.
  • Build an overall social strategy across a number of online and traditional platforms: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Communities across multiple media, etc.
  • Create best practices for programming and editorial content for the different platforms and social share text (e.g. followers are most active at 10 am and 4 pm, instead of 6 pm - to tweet/post during more during active times)
  • Build an editorial strategy for engagement and brand recognition; train producers and editors in crafting social headlines and tactics necessary to help run accounts.
  • Test and optimize: run A/B tests to determine what’s working and not working, build templates for social media depending on the platform.
  • Work with the community teams on a strategy for reader engagement and outreach and influencers; create conversations around communities of influencers using digital content.

The Profile
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a digital agency or corporate environment with a relevant degree course or technical certifications
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.
  • You have good presentation and communication skills and the ability to present your findings clearly and accessible in the form of reports and presentations to senior colleagues.
  • Your expertise in Predictive Modelling (Regression, Neural Networks etc) would be highly valuable.
  • You are comfortable with numerical data and possess strong analytical skills.
  • You enjoy finding creative solutions to problems.
  • You are a strong networker & relationship builder.
