The consultant is responsible to build virtual operations support systems (V-OSS) in virtual private cloud or self-hosted environment.
Create and maintain cloud blueprint/templates in the public cloud environment.
Build the whole solution stack, from network to operating system, middleware and databases using coding scripts.
Automate infrastructure management task using tools and scripts. You will be responsible for the technical infrastructure and deployment of various technologies used in OSS.
Understand the design template for public cloud such as Amazon Web Service and Azure, building the necessary scripts to build and deploy in the virtual private cloud.
Build and maintain V-OSS in application builds, deployments and release packages using automation technologies.
Build and maintain automation scripts and application code for automating infrastructure management tasks such and provisioning, troubleshooting, resolution, configuration change, compliance check.
Code or script test automation framework as well as carry out automated testing procedures in testing and production environments.
Build automation reports and portals for customer interaction.
Monitor and manage analytics of V-OSS usage patterns and anomalies.
Define and ensure quality control with strict adherence to standards, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in IT/ Engineering
3-5 years of analysis and requirements gathering or programming background.
Strong background in Linux/Unix/Windows Administration
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or Ansible
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
Strong experience with SQL and MySQL
A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
Experience with SCM tools such as Git, Subversion.
Good problem solving skills
Passion for programming and automation, and actively look for opportunities to develop tools to streamline and simplify the development and delivery process
Good understanding with Systems, networking and development tools
Familiarity with software development lifecycle
Self-motivated and have attention to detail
