Business Enablement (Biz-E) - Project Executive
So, what does a Business Enablement (Biz-E) Project Executive really do? Think of yourself as one of the people managers of your department responsible for the success of your assigned Project Managers. Not just anyone is qualified for this role! We make sure we get the best of the best, after all, we are a ridiculously good company so we make sure our employees are top notch. Now we need your full concentration because its time to imagine what its like being a Project Executive.
Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: that as a people manager, are going to develop the future Project Managers of TaskUs. As Project Executive, you need to be in touch with the people you develop. You design/implement/maintain work evaluation processes. You coach your people and log in your coaching sessions. You define career plans and training plans. You are responsible for the health and safety of your people as they deliver on their work. You carry out attaining the mission and the goals of the team and company. You are involved in developing and maintaining job descriptions and hiring your people. You create career plans and give advice on a career path. You evaluate their performance. You handle everyday questions about their work. You fire them (if necessary). You receive their resignation (if it happens). You actively seek out opportunities from lessons learned, and leapfrog across functions in order to get things fixed.
What else? As a TaskUs Biz-E Project Manager, you will from time to time be responsible for managing a project directly. After all, how else will you stay in touch with the best practices youre coaching your team on. You will also at times oversee mini-portfolios of projects/programs on behalf of the team. For these projects, you will be given broad/ high-level dreams and targets and will need to research, research, and research a bit more as you work with your project team on potential solutions. You will manage stakeholder and project expectations simultaneously for a frictionless project experience. You will perform detailed checks and manage sensitive timeframes to ensure accuracy and credibility. You will handle day-to-day team communication throughout each project. You will coordinate and work closely with internal departments. What else? Well, you will also adapt to the changing priorities and complete deliverables on time with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment. You will also approach all role responsibilities with great confidence, assertiveness and a sense of ownership.
Expect that you will primarily be a people manager and developer. You know your peoples expectations regarding their work content, their careers, work-life balance and how much committed they are. You know your peoples priorities and what skills they need to perform best. You know what is needed for your people in order for them to succeed not just in their current job but for 2 jobs from now. You help them make 5 year + career plans. You have street cred when it comes to handling projects, and may be as good as the best.
So do you have what it takes to become a Biz-E Project Executive?
So, what is it were looking for? Well, since this is an executive post we need someone who has the experience to even call themselves one. So definitely someone with at least 5 years of experience in project management and at least 2 years of experience in people management. You should have a strong track record of success in coaching and a true passion for people/team development. Have a Bachelors degree? Great! Have something equivalent to this in life experience? Thats okay too!
Last, but certainly not least, were looking for dreamers and those who have the drive to take those dreams and turn them into ridiculous realities.
