We are assisting a global and well recognised accreditation organisation to identify an Events Assistant Manager to plan, execute and deliver quality events within the region. This role will be responsible for overseeing a team of event associates to manage and coordinate the end-to-end process of all events in the Asia-Pacific region and ensure its successful implentation. You will develop creative solutions and strategic approaches to the events to meet business requirements, while leveraging and maintaining the marketing, branding, quality guidelines, budgetary goals and customer experience targets of the organisation.
You will:
  • Oversee the identification of venues and planning dates
  • Manage request for proposals and contract negotiations
  • Lead and provide strategic directions on event logistics including food & beverage, audio, visual, transportation, signage, shipping and exhibits
  • Manage procurement of all vendors to ensure expenditures are within budget
  • Develop and implement a staffing strategy for events including partner venues, special events and remote managed events
  • Ensure that gross margin targets are achieved on per even and overall basis. Develop mitigation strategies to account for any potential revenue losses

Requirements:
  • At least 4-5 years of events management experience
  • Has managed a range of events from large scale events to small workshops
  • Possess strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, ability to be a team player and also work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment
  • An eye for detail, creative and resourceful
  • Able to travel when necessary
