Job Description
  • Require a cand who can read, speak and write Chinese (as this role will interact closely with its China counterparties) 
  • Commodity/energy trading gained with commodity firms is required 
  • Strong understanding in trade finance activities, UCP600, URC and ISBP. 


This is a rare opportunity to join a part of a Chinese Listed Energy Trading Company which is the largest player in its industry. The company is fast growing with lots of future potential.

As a Trade Finance Executive, you will do the following:
  • help to handle Letter of Credit applications to the banks and ensure timely update in the system and. 
  • process and handle trade finance instruments to suppliers and counterparties, i.e. Import LC, SBLC, Guarantee, Bid Bonds, Performance bonds etc. 
  • place transactions with financing banks and further liaising with same throughout the life of the transaction and checking workability of Export Letters of Credit and requesting amendments. 
  • prepare LC required documentation such as commercial invoice, beneficiary certificates, insurance certificates etc. You need to understand in-house financeable trade structures and practically applying them to the physical trades executed to maximise leverage. 


To qualify, individuals must possess:
  • Min 4 years in trade finance area gained with a commodity firm or a Bank. Commodity firm exposure is a must. 
  • Strong understanding in trade finance activities, UCP600, URC and ISBP. 
  • good in negotiating terms with banks 
  • Well organized and ability to use initiative. Results focused and is a fast worker 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Good eye for detail 
  • Able to speak, read and write Chinese well (as as this role will interact closely with its China counterparties/HQ)
