FINANCIAL RETURNS To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combination and upsell alternatives. To ensure that the outlet cashiering procedures are strictly adhered to Effective upselling of Food and Beverages Payments are handled accurately Converse with guests to attract return visits from guests
PEOPLE Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
GUEST EXPERIENCE Deliver Food and Beverage service of high standard and in accordance with departmental standards and procedures Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints Carries out effective service by ensuring: o Guests are greeted and seated o Daily specials are explained and upsold o Food orders are processed accurately o Trays and tray jacks are effectively used o Food orders are taken quickly o Payment methods are handled accurately o Working areas are cleaned and re-set quickly o Bar is clean o Used ashtrays are regularly cleaned o Guests are conversed with in relation to the food and beverage products Carries out effective beverage service by ensuring: o Beverages are upsold and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations o Converse with Guests about wine, advising the types and styles of wine, taking wine orders and serving wine o Promoting and selling cocktails to guests o Making and presenting cocktails if applicable (eg.Sunday Brunch) o Coffee and tea is served hot and in accordance with standard
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS Participate actively in all responsible business activities Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S (Occupational Health & Safety) policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
Salary $1600 - $2300
Working Hours 7am to 11pm (Monday to Friday), 12.30pm to 3pm on SUNDAY. 5 day work week Shift work (no overnight)
