Job Description
Purpose
  • Refine and execute marketing communications activities in APAC countries, provide interface from global marketing communications to local market.
  • Manage implementation of strategies for defined product ranges in countries, be first contact person for country sales, customers and country marketing functions and provide interface to global product management.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct marketing activities in countries, in line with marketing strategy, central planning and corporate identity guidelines
  • Manage local contact to trade press and media
  • Manage and administrate showrooms
  • Manage local fair activity in close collaboration with global marketing and in line with brand guidelines
  • Provide local input to planning of advertising and marketing strategy
  • Provide country specific information to global marketing communications
  • Update country websites
  • Develop and propose concept of tactical sales promotions if advantageous
  • Review or if necessary translate communications as supplied by global marketing
  • Review and refine external communications materials in collaboration with global marketing
  • Compile country specific information for global marketing
  • Provide input to product portfolio and product category strategy to global PM
  • Collect and aggregate information on applications, trends, competitor products and pricing for global PM
  • Propose new product and segment ideas to PM
  • Provide feedback to country budget (sales, quantity, marketing activities) for segment to global PM
  • Review compliance with product budgets, develop corrective actions and propose to global PM
  • Provide information for product market briefs, other material, NPD and phase out process to global PM
  • Execute and drive new product launches according to overall launch plan
  • Execute tactical marketing activities for target groups
  • Provide local product training, coaching and know-how to sales force
  • Provide support to sales force on product-related activities, presentations, fairs, customer enquiries
  • Fulfill any other reasonable duties or reports as required
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in marketing, business administration or a technical field, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and technical/ professional experience
  • Copywriting and editing skills in local language
  • Ability to translate communications from English to local language
  • Ability to update intranet and website content management systems
  • Knowledge of local trade media and journalists
  • Event management sills
  • Basic local market and industry knowledge
  • Basic drives or electrical engineering product knowledge including competitor activity
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to deal with numerous tasks of changing priority
  • Financial and controlling skills
