Job Description
Scope & Deliverables

Finance in Business
  • Serve as Finance Manager for the new venture in its starting up phase, with key deliverables such including but not limiting to: 
o Budget and expense monitoring,

o Business P&L and Balance Sheet

o Setting up and implementation of the venture’s own finance & accounting system (via 3rd party service provider or software licensing) – and vendor management

o Business accounting and invoicing

o Employee payroll management (via external vendor)

o Ensure annual audit is in place for the venture by end 2018

New Entity Set up & Implementation
  • Finance workstream lead for new entity set up through active management and coordination with internal stakeholders (eg. Tax, Treasury, Legal, Commercial, etc) as well as relevant external stakeholders 
  • Lead day-to-day engagements with internal and external finance stakeholders to identify financial and implementational risks and benefits for all parties, provide risk mitigation recommendations 
  • Develop detailed Finance-related implementation plan and achieve cross-functional and cross-business support, including identification of critical path items as early as possible 
  • Escalation of potential financial and commercial complications, effective monitoring of critical path items 
  • Specific Finance implementation deliverables include but not limited to: tax registration with local governments, entity registration, capital injection from parent company, establishment of new venture’s finance & accounting systems, manual of authorities, etc 

  • Experience in projects or business initiatives with new entity set up and implementation 
  • Prior experience as a finance-in-business or equivalent 
  • High capability understanding in-country and cross-border tax implications and transactions 
  • A great team player with a proven ability to build and sustain strong relationships and network (Both internally and with 3rd parties) 
  • Great communicator with ability to articulate business needs and commercial requirements to relevant Finance stakeholders in a clear and succinct matter 
  • Proven track record in working effectively and collaboratively with multiple internal (and ideally, external) stakeholders and gaining support 
  • Highly desired: Understanding of road freight and logistics. A prior finance role in freight logistics would be relevant experience 
  • High desired: Experience of working and leading with an ambiguous remit, with the ability to challenge the red-tapes and norms, and able to think critically out of the box
