Position Overview: The Head of Cloud Services is responsible for the technical application design and construction of market leading cloud solutions in direct alignment with business goals and objectives. This role will lead and scale the organization and practices to deliver best-in-class business aligned, enterprise cloud designs that ensure scalability and applicability for today while understanding disruptive technologies and approaches affecting our designs for tomorrow. The Head of Cloud Services will partner with various business and technology teams to perform business capabilities assessment and lead the development of current state and future state business architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management
Design, plan and implement strategic initiatives to generate revenue and increase profitability on Cloud Services operating unit. This includes but not limited to setting of financial goals and managing resources to achieve business objectives and maximize value.
Build strategic partnerships with clients and key stakeholders to establish strong foothold in their core business thereby gaining access to business growth.
Drive Service Portfolio Management of the business unit to ensure the right mix of services offered which are aligned to the Companys overarching business goals and priorities, maximizing the value on investment.
Champion operational excellence to drive lowest cost to serve and gain competitive advantage in cloud services market.
Build & Manage Cloud Services Operating Unit
Provide strategic direction and thought leadership for the design, development, operation and support of the Cloud Services infrastructure which requires a balance between strong technical depth in cloud related offerings and proven business leadership.
Provide operational support of existing cloud technologies, e.g. servers, databases, containers, etc. Provide technical leadership to the design, development, testing and implementation of cloud solutions with AWS primarily and Azure to ensure consistent design across the enterprise.
Provide ownership for strategic vendor and partner relationship management for cloud services and technologies. Establish and operate a formal governance mechanism to ensure Cloud Services initiative meets the needs of the major business units and are delivered in line with the agreed-on business outcomes.
Budget responsibility for cloud infrastructure to ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and is within plan.
Maintain technical skills on new cloud technologies and platforms and provides technical leadership on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated and introduced to respond to the needs of the enterprise's business strategy. Continuously innovate and refine processes & tools to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of the team
Ensure delivery processes are optimized, continually improved and consistent across the team
Provide effective leadership to management team, retains talent to achieve strategic goals, and provide regular feedback on performance and competencies Drive Innovation and Expansion
Review consolidated operational performance reports in order to determine overall effectiveness, make necessary changes, and identify opportunities for innovative cloud services initiatives and performance improvement Proactively identify new and emerging technology solutions to support business excellence
Incorporate existing enterprise technology standards, security and capabilities into solutions as applicable
