Job Description
Position Summary:

The Talent Engage and Recognition Practitioner is the entry level role in the Talent Engagement and Recognition job family, providing support with the entire talent engagement and recognition process.You assist with the implementation of the engagement strategy to support dynamic business growth. You perform all the elements of professional and administrative talent engagement and recognition functions in support of designing, creating, implementing policies and procedures and administering talent engagement and recognition programs to effectively meet the organisation’s talent engagement and recognition strategy.

The Talent Engage and Recognition Practitioner handles much of the day to day administration of talent engagement and recognition operations and is responsible for several projects linked to talent engagement and recognition initiatives. You assist with the development and delivery of tools and consultation with relevant management teams to help foster a cultural shift from employee satisfaction to talent engagement and recognition.

What you will be doing:
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of talent engagement and recognition initiatives linked to the Dimension Data talent engagement and recognition strategy and plan. 
  • Co-ordinate and conduct talent engagement and recognition surveys and focus groups. 
  • Assist with the establishment of mechanisms to monitor talent engagement and recognition, using a variety of tools and methods, including performance measures. 
  • Assist with the development and implementation of programs to increase leadership engagement, including working closely with the Learning and Development organisation to provide input into the required learning interventions to address leadership competence gaps. 
  • Collaborate with the Reward and Remuneration team to ensure the development of employee recognition and reward schemes that will ensure engagement. 
  • Take responsibility for driving consistency in Dimension Data’s talent engagement and recognition practices to maximum retention of talent. 
  • Extract the necessary data required for monthly and weekly reporting and assist with the analysis of this data, preparing it for presentation to the relevant forums. 
What you need to have:
  • 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Display of good organisation, interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Demonstrate good analytical skills. 
  • Display of the ability to be reliable and pays attention to detail. 
  • Display proactive approach to solving problems.
