Industrial Segment Manager- Sales

Job Description
Main Duties:

  • To promote and market all INDUSTRIAL products on agreed quarterly and annual target volume.
  • Specifying of company’s product to all relevant clients, architects, engineering companies, design companies and their direct customers.
  • To ensure that correspondent/quotation are provided on time to client.
  • To ensure that delivery times and support are provided on time to client.
  • Market, manage and report client project list to Sales Manager monthly.
  • Support Marketing Department strategies and plans for the company’s product for short, medium and long term.
  • Support Marketing Department activities that involve working direct with clients/specifiers with an effective marketing strategy and building good rapport in order to facilitate brand loyalty.
  • Work closely with manager to define and adopt an appropriate pricing policy to the market.
  • Work closely with the sales team to achieve company target and objective.
  • Work closely and assist the Sales Manager to appoint, increase and define promotional activities for the distribution network.
Main Responsibilities:
  • To achieve VOLUME target # of parts delivered to our clients
  • To achieve SALES target of parts delivered to our clients.
  • To implement yearly marketing plan.
  • To increase our Company brand awareness.
  • To develop market and competitive knowledge.
  • Set up and add into database of top architects, developers and refine segmentation and specifying approach.
  • Develop strong relations with high priority clients and improve knowledge of medium priority clients.
  • Improve market knowledge – Architects database, Developers database, engineering company database and micro mailing.
  • To set up a comprehensive marketing information system (market, competition, developers, architects, contractors and roofers).
Requirements technical:

  • At least a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 year successful experience ideally split between technical – such as in a R&D role, design department, specification and approval setting department – and marketing/sales/BD role in a B to B environment
  • Knowledge of the industrial piping system, i.e. having worked with an EPC provider, contractor or industrial player
  • Analytical, sense of detail
  • Capacity to identify essential element influencing strategy
  • Capacity to synthe and work by priorities
  • Being familiar with the technical issues related to the industrial piping systems
  • Not afraid to TRAIN and provide training and coaching to stockist/distributors
  • Continuous learner.

  • Ability to develop and communicate well structured proposals / recommendations, including action plans
  • Eager to develop current customers and partners to new level.
  • Proactive in approaching new customers.
  • Not afraid of making cold calls/opening doors.

Key Result Areas:

Quantitative Results
  • Drafting of RFQ (Request for Quotations) and Tenders
  • Identification of tenders where the company can make an offer
  • Respect of yearly marketing budget

Qualitative Results:
  • Implementation of company’s Industrial solutions and systems in South East Asia
  • Development of Presentations to facilitate Company’s Industrial products and solutions
  • Relations with developers
