Job Description
Our client a global MNC in the healthcare industry has an urgent requirement for 2 International Logistics Specialists to join their team in Singapore on a 1 year (possible for extension) contract. Responsibilities include: Producing export documentation to meet local and foreign regulations including Country of Origin, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Valuation, Letter of Credit, and Licensing. Implement controls for trade laws, foreign embargos, free trade agreements, denied party screening, sanctions and boycott. Coordinate timely and cost-effective order processing with suppliers, planners, purchasing and transportation service providers. Configure and load ocean containers for maximum capacity and product protection. Participate in the negotiating of freight rates through global bidding and spot quotes. Audits and track freight payments. Complete monthly analysis of transportation service provider’s performance. Perform inventory receiving, movement, and issue transactions in Oracle ERP system. Reconciles monthly inventory balances in Finish Goods locations. Monitor the performance of the local 3PL including spot cycle counting. Communicate and coordinate the flow of material from the supplier to the customers. Receiving incoming finished goods into our inventory management system. Manages pick release of daily orders to complete shipments to multiple countries. Produces export documentation for each shipment. Schedules ocean and airfreight shipments with freight forwarders to provide on-time deliveries. Schedules and loads ocean containers to maximize shipping capacity. Negotiate, administer, and review service agreements with carriers, customs brokers and transportation service providers. Monitors the carriers' on-time performance and quality of shipments by reviewing and validating the carrier key performance reports. Conducts analysis of alternate methods of transportation and programs, along with projected cost and service improvements. Assist in developing long-term logistics strategies for international shipping. Expedites difficult shipping situations (e.g. dangerous goods, temperature sensitive material and field service priority orders) to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain technical files for all shipments. Monitors the activities of the 3PL and update KPI matrix Communicating with various internal operational functions (e.g. Demand Planning, Purchasing and Supplier Quality), freight forwarders and other appointed service providers. Ensures timely transportation of products to internal and external customers Requirements: Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or relevant disciplines with minimum 4-5 years’ experience in import/export operations or related field.
