Job Description

  • Provide the Procurement Shared Services support related to procurement & sourcing as well as outsourcing activities to all local entities.
  • Provide operational end to end category management focusing on business critical capability from 3rd party suppliers to the budget holder(s).
  • Using Ariba and Oracle system to facilitate end-to-end procurement process from sourcing, supplier/contract management, spend analysis to PO issuing.
  • Monitor process and supplier performance and resolve issues with the supplier. Operate as part of a team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Ensure all Procurement Tools & Systems are embedded and effectively utilized.
  • Provide operational end to end category management focusing on business critical capability from 3rd party suppliers to the budget holder(s).

  • Act as the subject matter expert and take personal responsibility and accountability for procurement and sourcing solution.
  • Build strong personal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use commercial acumen to develop category management strategies for new and existing goods and services across the local entities.
  • Ensure all Procurement policy, process and systems are fully utilized.
  • Use effective sourcing and negotiation techniques with suppliers to access the right business solution on the most cost-efficient terms.

  • Understand Group Procurement & Outsourcing Business Standard and operate within Business Standards.
  • Ensure compliance to MAS Outsourcing Guidelines.
  • Own and manage controls in iCare.

  • No direct reports. Supporting Procurement Shared Services function for Aviva Ltd as well as other local entities.

  • Both internal key stakeholders as well as supplier relationship management.

(This should include any mandatory MAS qualifications.)

  • Minimum Diploma level.

  • Relevant business qualification desirable.


  • Excellent inter-personal, influencing and communication skills.

  • Experience and knowledge of commercial strategic options and best practice category management techniques in driving and managing IT related services/purchases.

  • Awareness of supply market forces and impacts in relation to the category and/or commodity

  • Ability to adapt & react quickly and positively to change

  • Managing a portfolio of externally sourced commodities within the category management
