Job Description

Our client is a large manufacturing business looking for a Japanese speaking assistant manager to join the legal team.
Duties will include:-
  • Contracts for Activities
    • Respond to tenders, draft, negotiate and review various types of contracts such as sales, construction, purchasing, employment and other commercial contracts.
    • Improve existing standard contracts, systems and procedures, provides training and guidance to internal clients.
  • Claim Management, Litigation, Dispute Resolution
    • Manage claims, litigation claims and emerging disputes
  • Compliance and Training
    • Provide training and guidance on compliance and policies such as anti-bribery laws, anti-competition laws.
  • Corporate Administration
    • Monitor and help the corporate secretarial matters such as annual general meeting and board meeting of MAP group entities within the region.
  • Alliance, M&A
    • Participate to and provide legal support for the acquisition, reorganisation, integration and divestment projects in the region.
  • Liaise and Coordinate with External Counsel


Candidates will have:-
  • Law Degree
  • 3 years minimum of corporate legal experience
  • Ability to carry out risk analytics
  • Working experience of the engineering/manufacturing or construction industry
  • Regional exposure
  • Able to travel frequently
