Logistics & Customer Service Manager, Pharma (Tuas, Up to $9K)  

A well-established US Pharmaceuticals MNC. Responsibilities:​ Responsible for the logistics and operational activities relating to the distribution of products, including all associated products within the selected markets in the APAC region. To lead, coordinate and support the project team, and analyses to improve the operations in the whole region. Work closely with the Logistics Centers and Logistics Service Providers and other stakeholders, to align the Company's strategies and business goals in the Asia Pacific countries; includes analysis of regional business drivers, evaluation of support alternatives/opportunities and implementation of service programs. Key Responsibilities: Regional Support Support the Regional Lead and Strategic Planning Manager in development and implementation of long-term network optimization strategies for the Asia region. Analyze the current operations to identify improvement possibilities. Draft and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and service delivery performance in the Region. Support the Regional Lead in analyses of the Regional metrics and publish the overall metrics for the Region. Logistics Service Provider (LSP) Ensure the delivery of distribution services to be consistent with the established service level agreements for each of the Company's businesses in the area. Implement the Asian Market Logistics’ goals and strategies in the area. Develop and implement the overall distribution strategy & other adjacent businesses within the country responsibility area. Implement all of Market Logistics standards, tools and reports in the area. Manage the Logistics Service Providers, focus on regular follow-up from a service, quality and cost perspective. Evaluate and negotiate contracts of the logistic service providers. Manage budgets and expenses for distribution in the area. Implement and analyses of Metrics in the area. Identify operational and financial improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and service delivery performance for distribution in the region. Build case for change, gain buy-in and implement. Provide leadership and support to process harmonization, process re-design and change management efforts related to the distribution in the region. Collaborate with the markets closely, provide them leadership and support in all areas concerning distribution. Ensure that GDP and the other operational SOPs are in place and updated in the area. Leverage of internal and external best practices in distribution. Participate in local market Continuous Improvement Initiatives related to distribution. Customer Service Manage the performance of order processing, supply planning for specific markets, inbound product processing and trans-shipment/drop-shipment activities. Set clear performance standards for the Customer Service group and accountable for the achievement of these standards. Take the overall ownership and responsibility for the management, oversight and adherence to operational policies and procedures and to ensure effective internal controls are in place. Ensure the documentation processed by the team members are complete & meeting customers'/banking requirements. Support studies to roll out more 'drop shipments' to the markets in achieving freight savings. People Management Analyze the operations organizational structure to ensure the most effective and efficient structure is in place. Ensure appropriate resources are in place and work distribution within the group is well balanced. Develop goals for all team members Develop key performance measures for the group and should use the site metrics for colleagues to identify gaps and opportunities. Others Participate and where appropriate, sponsor or take the lead on special projects within the Customer Service Group, Operations. Coordinate all audit activities. Demonstrate commitment to the continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety the organization. Align and obtain support from Human Resources, ensure an ongoing training and retraining program is in place for all team members. ​Requirements: ​ Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or Business Administration; MBA would be a plus. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Domestic and/or International logistics operations in Pharmaceuticals industry is a must. Possess Regional experience within Asian countries. Excellent relational and organizational skills. Able to motivate and stimulate people to maximize performance in a highly dynamic and challenging environment. Must be able to work in a Team environment. Knowledge of logistics systems, warehousing, order fulfillment, customer service, project management practices and integrated supply chain management.
