Job Description

The Network Support team is responsible for providing Server Admin and Desktop Support to internal customers of Extron Electronics.

The qualified IT candidate will provide hardware and software helpdesk support to our international corporate users. Candidate must have good communication skills, proficient in the English language, professional appearance, strong troubleshooting abilities and a desire for learning new technologies. The qualified candidate will lead a team of skilled professionals by example. Support and motivate team members where possible and bring out the best in them on a daily basis.

Qualified Candidates must at least have:


Experience level

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a corporate environment supporting Microsoft technology
  • Experience in a similar position is advantageous
  • Able to motivate and support team members
  • Experience in supporting desktops, laptops, printers, cell phones, desktop operating system (Windows 7, Windows 10) and Microsoft / Adobe suite of applications
  • Experience in using a Helpdesk based ticketing system

Knowledge
  • Profound knowledge of Windows 10
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 and O365
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and DHCP
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery systems
  • Knowledge of Service desk processes

Competences
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with strong attention to details and highly organized
  • A team player’s mentality
  • Act a primus inter pares in the team
  • Able to evaluate performances
  • Able to lead projects (i.e. OS migrations)
  • Stress resistant
Additional skills for Qualifies Candidates
  • Able to support IT corporate requirements outside the normal business hours
  • Ability to travel as needed to deploy and support corporate offices
  • Certification ITIL is a plus
  • Microsoft certifications (MCSA on Server 2012 or higher) are a big plus
  • Knowledge of MAC systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of Unified Communications (Skype for business) is a plus
  • Knowledge of telephony systems (Audiocodes) is a plus
  • Eye for continuous improvement
