Work closely with business analysts, key stakeholders, DBAs and system administrators to define and document technical specifications and schedule and carry out development within the agreed implementation plan within time, quality, performance and budget constraints.
Responsible for unit testing including verification of acceptable code performance.
Provide guidance to junior developers within the team in ensuring adherence to the development/customizations standards.
Provide advices to business analysts on the development approaches in line with the Oracle Standard functionalities and other applications functionalities.
Participate in projects as they relate to Oracle and other business applications, working with both internal and external software providers
Work in an agile or waterfall based development environment.
Work closely with the DBA team in areas of performance tuning.
Work with IT security team in areas of systems design and architecture in ensuring systems and data security.
Adhere to environment change control practice following the Project Method and Change Management processes.
Perform tasks within established standards and contribute to improving existing and developing new standards as required.
Create weekly project or major activity status reports and associated weekly timesheets as required.
At least 5 years Oracle Applications R12 or above experience. Excellent knowledge of Oracle Developer Tools 10g and above (e.g. Forms, Reports).Ability to perform troubleshooting of Oracle eBusiness Suite coding / performance problems.
Experience with cloud architecture and applications, Agile software development methodology and DevOps practices.
Good communication skills (verbal and written in English).
May be called to work out of normal hours/weekends/public holidays to support sites in other time zones.
Ability to travel for several weeks at a time, as required.
Excellent knowledge of PL/SQL coding.
