Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Prepare & Maintain Project Master / Keydates Schedule (level 1) for the assigned Projects
  • Prepare & Maintain Project Detail Schedule (level 2) for the assigned Projects
  • Liaise with Production PEs and check consistency of level 2 with Level 3 Plans
  • Regular Weekly / Monthly Project Progress Reporting to be done basing on the Baseline Plan
  • Prepare & Maintain Progress S-Curves / Project Production Manpower Estimates
  • Prepare & Issue Lifting concepts for Heavy Lifts and Transporting concept
  • Assess critical path & potential delay causing events and prepare recovery proposal
  • Communicate potential schedule slippages to Managers / Team Leaders
  • Liaise with Yard Planning Manager for Yard / space allocation for project blocks / components
  • Forecast project manhours, track and update actual manhours and workout projects manpower plans
  • Major equipment required dates assessment (plan initial ROS dates).
  • Communicate with PJM / PJS on potential change to ROS Dates due to changes in project schedule
  • Liaise with PJE for Engineering Deliverables & match & check if PPS dates are consistent with Production plans
  • Liaise with E&A Coordinator for Major equipment delivery dates and assess if these dates are in line with Plan.
  • Revise plans when schedule slippage is more than 5% overall or as advised and instructed by PJM or by Planning Manager.
  • Liaise with Yard Planning Manager for area allocation for the assigned projects & communicate to Project team.
  • Participate in project related meetings (Project Team weekly production meeting, Managing Director / Management Review meetings and Owner Project meeting)
  • Attend weekly Department meetings and any other specific meeting related to project Schedule discussions.
  • Prepare & Issue As-Built Schedules at the end of project.
  • Compile As-Built manhours and analyse as-built with initial baseline or budgeted manhours.
  • Record changes / delays / causative events & document relevant ones to Lesson learnt category.
  • Coach Junior Planners / Propose improvements to planning process and method through innovative ideas. (Senior Planning Engineer s additional role)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma/ Degree in any Engineering disciplines
  • At least 2 years of working experience in marine / offshore industry (5 years for Senior Planners)
  • Possess knowledge of oil rig / shipbuilding technology / offshore structure construction
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in knowledge & application of project planning software such as Primavera (P6), Microsoft Office. ASTA power project.
