Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION

- To be responsible to the Section Manager and Project Engineer for the design of offshore process facilities to comply with project specifications, relevant international conventions, standards, rules and regulations
- To establish heat and material balances (for both Process & Utility systems) and evaluate all possible operating scenarios to ensure that the design is complete and optimized
- To develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs) and Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
- To perform process calculations (equipment sizing, line sizing, pressure drop calculations, flare/relief and blowdown calculations, etc)
- To prepare design philosophies/bases, equipment datasheets, purchase specifications, and to perform technical bid evaluations
- To participate in HAZOP and other HSE studies and get the resulted findings/recommendations implemented in design
- To provide technical support in mechanical completion, pre-commissioning/commissioning and startup activities
- To coordinate with client, classification society, in-house engineers and vendors to resolve design issuesJOB REQUIREMENTS

- Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of using process design software, e.g. Hysys, Pro/II
- Well versed with regulatory requirements
- Relevant experience in offshore process plant design would be an added advantage
- Good communication skills with good command of English
- Ability to work independently in a team environment, and possess strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
