Job Description
My client is a world leader in the equipment and optics industry and now seek an experienced Process Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Develop new or improve existing Processes for the assembly build to achieve a reasonable sustainable yield in Production
  • Conduct Process FMEA to identify and eliminate potential risks to manufacturing processes as well as to carry out Process Capability studies to ensure that the manufacturing processes are in a reasonable control state
  • Support the NPI Product Transfer and ensure the intended specifications are achieved and maintained in the Production environment
  • Design and Qualify Tooling/Fixtures necessary to support the Product Build
  • Introduce new technology to enhance the manufacturing capability in the Assembly Department
  • Review Technical Data packs of new Product Variants for RFQ purposes and In-House Manufacturing Feasibility assessment
  • Provide Technical recommendations or carry out evaluations that is in line with customers’ enquiries
  • Introduce value- added services such as product design improvement recommendations or involvement in troubleshooting activities at higher level system integration at the customer’s end
  • Maintain the Assembly Process Sheet (APS) that provides Work Instructions for Production to carry out the build of the Assembly
  • Provide accurate routing details in accordance to the developed qualified processes in the APS
  • Review and enhance the existing Process methodologies to improve the manufacturing KPIs such as Process Yield, Scrap performance and Productivity


Requirements:
  • Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 – 7 years’ experience in NPI/Process Engineering in a Semiconductor, Equipment, Optics Manufacturing Industry or relevant
  • Knowledge in Solidwork, AutoCad, Fixture and Tooling design
  • Experience with RCA, FMEA, SPC
  • Ability to develop and plan effectively on engineering activities in accordance to the build plan to achieve the required OTD
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of good manufacturing practises and industry standards
