Production Superintendent (Chemical Plant)
Responsibilities Conduct daily handover meeting together with Shift Superintendent and day staffs. Give proper guidance and daily work instructions to shift teams and make arrangement for maintenance works. Monitor process and equipement conditions closely using DCS, PI trending, daily field operation and maintenance work items, in order to ensure plants are operating safely, smoothly and at optimum conditions Assist and initiate to troubleshoot on process and/or equipment issue by providing solution/alternate way to resolve the matter. Conduct root cause analysis on incident to prevent recurrence. Work closely with M&E and operation shift superintendent to decid eon importance / urgency of maintenance issues, safe preparation of equipment to handover to M&E and safe handover of equipment back to the production Work closely and initiate with M&E to troubleshoot, analyze and improve the situation to prevent equipment failure Plan and monitor on routine and non-routine start-up, shutdown and cleaning works Monitor and advise shift superintendent on managing emergency or upset condition Manage and monitor intermediate and product tank inventories and ensuring uninterrupted product supply to customers Follow up and troubleshoot with other related departments to ensure plant on-line process analyzers and 3rd party analysis accuracy and reliability Manage and internal audit of ISO9K & ISO14K Requirements Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline Preferably 2-3 years’ experience in a Chemical manufacturing environment. Familiar with utilities and waste water treatment will be an advantage Good knowledge on unit operations, instrumentation and DCS Knowledge in Risk Assessment, HAZOP, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 will be an advantage Candidates with NO prior experience will be considered To help us process your application, please visit www.gmprecruit.com to upload your resume on our website.
