Job Title: Project Control Manager, CSM (Customer Support Maintenance)


Manage and oversee project controls for FLT (Field Labour & Training) projects across all regions of Asia Pacific. Responsible for tracking and periodic reviewing of project costing, schedule, budget, Open cost, Cost to complete, Change Orders etc. Establish operating policies to mitigate risk. Provide guidance and consultation for FBMs and Team leaders to deliver project on time within budget at highest quality.

Responsible for Monthly Project progress reporting to management and ensure financial compliance procedures for FLT projects. Drive improvement in Project Quality and Productivity (cost control).

  • Understand and fully comply with all company policies and procedures, specifically including safety (Injury and Incident Free) and corporate code of conduct in FLT project execution 
  • Understand the revenue recognition methods and drive compliance of all FLT projects 
  • Understand, develop, and deploy project cost codes to effectively capture all project costs within performance calendar for FLT projects 
  • Understand, develop, issue, and maintain ownership of project financial forecasting with FBLs and Team leaders 
  • Accurately and effectively ensure all data is entered and reviewed prior to reporting period close. Work with project managers and project staff to review and approve project charges prior to reporting period close 
  • Perform financial analysis against plan for control accounts, work packages, and projects assigned 
  • Participate in monthly FLT project reviews supporting CSM Business Managers 
  • Provide project charging guidance to all employees, contractors, and subcontractors in the execution of work. Ensure right costs get charged to right projects 
  • Establish and maintain project logs including budget, contingency, management reserve, undistributed budget etc 
  • Responsible and accountable to Country CSM Business managers for FLT project reporting requirements 
  • Provide to the FBLs and FLT Managers all needed elements needed to issue Weekly/Monthly Reports 
  • Other duties as assigned from CSM Country Business Managers 
  • Ability to analyze, communicate, recommend, implement and report cost information to various audiences including subcontractors, project staff, corporate leadership, and functional leadership 
  • Demonstrated high degree of foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving project cost abnormalities 
  • Support efforts in planning, scheduling, and cost control for all phases of FLT projects; Maintain and analyze project cost commitments & forecasts 
  • Anticipate schedule and cost deviations through trend analysis and reports periodically 
  • Develop and maintain appropriate project control metrics and reports 
  • Regularly report project progress to CSM Country Business Managers 

  • 5 or more years’ experience as a Project Manager or equivalent Project controls functions 
  • Bachelor degree in automation, electrical engineering or equivalent. Good knowledge in automation products including PLC, Standard Drive, Software, Networks etc 
  • Good Industry Knowledge, Application Knowledge in industrial automation 
  • Tact, excellent interpersonal / collaboration skills, and self-motivation are essential characteristics 
  • Significant track record of successful work 
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, and do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
