Job Description
My client is an innovator, a technology disruptor, a change thinker in the consumer industry. They now seek an experienced R&D Leader who will assume complete responsibility for the development and delivery of their new products and take them all the way from requirement stage to NPI delivery. As the guru, you will ensure my client achieve their time, cost and quality targets
You take pride in solving complex problems and will be responsible for building new-age, world-class products and manage all product development and release efforts (mechanical, electrical, HW/SW, systems) and with you at the helm, the team will have a technical direction and guidance for all product development activities. You will ensure optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet product development requirements and ensure all these aspects are well documented. Working alongside with the executive board, you will participate and lead management, planning, budget process and strategic staffing decisions. It will be on you to develop strong processes to combine agility and scalability for overall integration of their difference product components. In addition, you will act as a mentor and trainer to Customer Service and Sales/Marketing for preparation of sales presentations, technical service and marketing
To be successful in this role, you will need an advanced Degree in Engineering with prior work experience in an R&D environment. Solid technical expertise in entire product development lifecycle process, including analysis and design, development tools and deployment management will be essential, in addition to excellent business acumen with an innate ability to strategize R&D growth supporting business plans. You have a proven track record in setting up, hiring, mentoring and building project teams and have an established legacy in bringing products to market successfully including solid experience in BOM cost reduction
