My client is one of the largest manufacturers of complex precision and optical equipment. An innovative player in the industry, they now seek a Regional Head for EHS and Facilities for developing EHS management strategies and directing EHS resources across regional manufacturing facilities Responsibilities Provide leadership and management guidance to regional EHS and Facility teams Plan, develop and implements an EHS and facility management strategy and programs, across the region to ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and customer requirements Provide regional leadership on EHS and facility issues, educate senior executive management in EHS/Facilities impacts and ensure appropriate allocation of resources to achieve goals and improve EHS performance Establish goals and annual EHS targets for the manufacturing, R&D, engineering and field sales and support offices across the region Act as a subject matter expert regarding building, energy, construction, HAVC systems and programs Ensure facility and estate management is able to support daily business and future growth Monitor and review operational cost and assume responsibility for facility financial improvement Lead regional facilities and EHS review process to help management detect accident/health hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures Assess and cost-effectively manages EHS/ facility-related risks with the long-term objective to eliminate hazards and further reduce risk across global operations Act as the main point of contact for all relevant government agencies, manage all EHS and Facility Audits and develop appropriate action plans Lead Global EHS projects across the region and coordinate project plans and execution through global representatives Advise, coach and supports facilities teams in identifying, scoping and implementing energy savings and sustainability improvements Acts as mentor to EHS and Facility associates, evaluate their performance and conduct appraisals Ensure that regional teams remain up-to date with relevant laws and regulations and ensure regional managers are equipped to manage the safety of their teams Coordinate with regulatory and government agencies, customers and industry groups to remain at the forefront of EHS and Facilities Management Qualifications Degree in Engineering with at least 10 – 15 years’ experience in managing EHS and facilities for a large manufacturing facility, real estate or equivalent across regions Proven track record in driving the EHS agenda in a multi-site, global manufacturing organization Exposure to end-to-end facilities management for APAC and Japan (preferred) Stronghold with ISO140001 requirements with ability to draft new policies and understand environmental impact Ability to engage the workforce at all levels in the journey to build a strong EHS culture and a collaborative team-oriented approach Extensive EHS experience, including working-level subject matter expertise, project/process leadership and department or functional area management. Strong operational and commercial experience with ability to influence at all levels within the organization Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions (due diligence and integration) and risk and liability management Registered Workplace Safety Health Officer, Fire Safety Manager and associations with other EHS bodies will be a plus Practitioner of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing principles Please send your resume in WORD format by clicking the apply button below or contact Abhik Damani on +65 6701 1527 for a confidential discussion.
