About Client Our client is a technology-driven global company. They combine complex specialty chemicals to optimize the quality, performance and value of the customers' products while reducing their environmental impact. This role is responsible for managing regional projects and the Performance Textile applications team in Asia Pacific. It supports both the Global Performance Textile team and local customers through execution of formulation improvement, structure/property understanding, and test method development.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the market and their needs through regular visits to the network of distributors throughout Greater China
  • Develop a Distributors strategy as previously defined
  • Train distributors staff; occasionally also end-users
  • Create and monitor sales plans, verifying the effectiveness of measures taken in a way that results can be achieved
  • Develop new markets and their indirect sales channels, provide solutions to customers and address technical and commercial issues adequately
  • Propose, plan and implement marketing activities (together with the Technical Departments and Marketing of XXX Germany) such as promotional events, seminars, workshops and trade fairs, to promote the brand and the products of XXX
  • Report regularly to the headquarter in Germany on the results, activities, market trends, success stories and trade alliances created in a way that they can be communicated within the Organization;

Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably from a technical/chemical faculty
  • More than 8 years experience in sales in indirect sales and distribution channels
  • Knowledge of modern practices of indirect sales and managing distributors
  • Ability to handle technical and business issues, demanded by the market and indirect sales channels
  • Good ability to motivate and train distributors Sales/Technical Team
  • Organized, dynamic and agile, with broad vision and business strategy
  • Mastery of MS Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes; Internet tools and ERP
  • Ability to negotiate and interpersonal relationships
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, in Chinese and English; knowledge of the German Language is desirable but not mandatory
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
