  • Responsibilities
    • Be the subject matter expert for the company’s informatics and automation product portfolio
    • Support the Sales team in informatics related products during sales visits. 
    • Conduct workflow studies to identify and quantify customer needs, challenges and pain points 
    • Develop a comprehensive end to end solution that targets to achieve customer needs and solving customer pain points 
    • Implement actions that ensure that sales personnel have the adequate understanding of the informatics solutions product concept & strategy 
    • Provide consulting support in informatics solutions products, support sales in delivering the right value proposition to the customer 
    • Provides consultation on connectivity solutions, regulatory compliance, security and virus protection concerns and the implementation of informatics products to ensure goals and objectives of company’s informatics products are installed and Integrated via HL7 and ASTM with Hospital/Laboratory Information System (HIS/LIS) 
    • Identify potential customers to develop case studies and work with marketing to ensure these case studies are produced and of good quality 
    • Lead and manage IT solution implementation. Ensure timely delivery of IT solution implementation and proper hand over to local teams for day to day customer support. Able to personally implement solution in the absence of local expertise 
    • Execute IT Solution technical implementation including architecture design, installation, application customization and user training, in the absence of local expertise 
    • Be the escalation point for major customer feedback or requests, and ensure timely resolution through coordination with local support and business unit 
    • Provide necessary training to local teams on a need-to basis 

    Skills Required
    • Working experience with major middleware solutions and familiar with clinical rules, libraries and laboratory QC and testing protocols
    • Experience with interfacing LIS like Epic, Cerner, Sunquest, Technidata and other major LIS providers, as well as, locally developed LIS 
    • Hands-on experience in applications and services for SQL Server 
    • Able to interact with customer IT department to ensure company’s informatics solution will comply and fit within customer IT environment, eg network diagram, hardware and software specification, IT securities, etc 
    • Data analytical skills is highly desirable 

    • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in medical technology, engineering, information technology, computer science or a related field
    • Minimum 5 years working experience in diagnostic IT or healthcare informatics field 
    • Ability to communicate effectively, expect to be able to explain the solution design to people of various technical background 
    • Possess a strong command in English and at least an additional language used within Asia Pacific region e.g. Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Bahasa etc 
    • Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred – HIS/LIS/Middleware, HL7/ASTM, SQL 
    • Understanding of clinical laboratory workflow and operation is preferred 
    • Certification in various informatics products. eg IT security, Network technology, Virtualization & Cloud is highly desirable 
    • LEAN Six Sigma trained with minimum Green Belt certification is desirable 
    • Flexible and quick to travel within the Asia Pacific region. Approximately 50% or more travel is expected
