Job Description
  • Good knowledge of back-office processing of various financial market instrument will be an advantage 
  • 6 to 10 years as a Business Analyst/Project Manager in a business change role from investment bank/financial services industry 
  • Strong understanding of Operations trade workflow/ process background 


Our client is renowned investment firm with an international presence. This role sit in the Operations department and we are looking for a strong project manager/ business analyst with operations trade workflow/process experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to business system owner in maintaining / monitoring / implementing Change Requests / Upgrades / Issues for the identified systems 
  • Assist business system owner to identify potential process gaps and areas for enhancement, and using your capability to analytically diagnose (problem solve) and thinking outside the box to propose and implement the solution 
  • Assist business system owner to manage all activities from scoping to implementation to deliver the project/ change request timely 
  • Actively manage project conflicts, dependencies, changes to scope, risks and issues, and ensure plans are in place to mitigate them with urgency, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner; regularly monitor and report on project progress 
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with various teams, stakeholders and IT teams. 
  • Review solution design and effort estimates from the team and prioritize projects and change requests assigned to the team 
  • Drive consistency in solution design and delivery across applications and various teams. 


Requirements:
  • A recognised Degree qualification 
  • Good knowledge of back-office processing of various financial market instrument will be an advantage 
  • 6 to 10 years and above as a Business Analyst/Project Manager in a business change role from investment bank/financial services industry 
  • Strong understanding of ops trade workflow/ process background 
  • Good understanding and experience of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is necessary 
  • Extensive experience with Agile as a ScrumMaster or Product Owner will be an advantage 
  • Good understanding and experience with six sigma will be an advantage 
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ownership of issues 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint and Visio) 
  • Ability to think laterally and critically, challenge status-quo and demonstrate innovative thinking 
  • Formal project management certification is preferred but not a must 
  • Ability to interact well with front, trading, middle office, back office and IT teams.
