Job Description :

Our client is Leading Venue Provider Listed Company in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions (MICE) Industry.
You will be expected to:
  • Lead the team for the successful delivery of your portfolio through effective planning and project management, excellent communication and collaboration with other departments and organisations to deliver successful outcomes for Events.
  • Champion the objectives and business style while striving for continued improvement to drive operational effectiveness and enhanced customer satisfaction.
  • Support the management of the financial performance of your team and balancing financial controls, client satisfaction and service standards, while focusing on the delivery of exceptional of Events.

Some of the things we would like you to do:

Pre-event:
  • Develop event concepts and present business cases
  • Promotion of the event and organizing the required marketing collaterals and marketing channels
  • Selling event space to potential partners
  • Seeking and securing sponsorship
  • Coordinate all services required for the event including arranging insurance cover and ensuring all legal, health and safety requirements are met
  • Achieve financial objectives and prudent budget management
  • Effective project management including ownership and adherence to timelines and accurate tracking and evaluation of results on overall project goals
  • Management and selection of the best business partners/ suppliers to support the event strategy. This includes regular review and negotiation of contracts

Actual event:
  • Be present to provide on-site support
  • Exceptional operational efficiency
  • Ensure excellent client experience and execution of events with high client satisfaction and strong client retention
  • Lead, communicate and collaborate across all external partners to ensure seamless delivery of event
  • Lead extended team across multiple event production functions including stand designers, flora arrangement, equipment hire etc.

Post-event:
  • Lead the process of reviewing and enhancing events features and provides recommendations
  • Provide any follow-up to the events

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Mass Communications or related studies
  • 5 years of event management and sales experience in a similar capacity, preferred
  • Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within events industry
  • Experience in running large and complex events
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Make decisions and resolve problems quickly and effectively
  • Exude positive energy and thrive in a dynamic working environment
  • Be the customer contact point for any service delivery issues or emergencies
  • Very organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to bring structure to unstructured situations quickly
  • Strong in communication and relationship skills with the ability to drive engagement and interest in most situations
  • Well-versed in reading and understanding Financial Statements
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Ready to work flexible hours including weekends, evening and nights, based on the demands of the business
