Our client is a renowned and established US Manufacturing MNC. For this role, you are in charge of costing function including analysis of inventory and manufacturing variances and material productivity tracking.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure timely and accurate month end closing, reporting and forecasting of financials for Costing and Inventory per company and corporate timeline.
Provide analysis of manufacturing variances such as PPV and determine reasons for fluctuation.
Monitor and track Material Productivity target.
Maintain accurate inventory standard costs, and costing related projects (eg. annual and daily standard cost roll, current inventory cost reporting, BOM accuracies).
Co-ordinate and work closely with manufacturing operations to achieve the following:
Physical inventory accuracy, reduce PI absolute variances to eliminate annual PI;
High inventory turn;
Robust E&O process to achieve year on year improvement.
Participate in the Annual Operating Plan process.
Review Accenture’s costing related journals. Ensure reconciling items in Balance Sheet reconciliations are current and investigate long outstanding items (>60 days).
Assist Financial Planning & Costing Manager in ad-hoc assignments.
Support Sarbanes Oxley Audit and ensure compliance with the co’s and SOX requirement.
Liaise with External Auditors on audit issues.
Participate in ACE achievements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Accountancy
Around 4 to 8 years relevant costing/ manufacturing accounting exp gained with manufacturing firms.
Proficiency in MS-Excel and ERP system eg Baan LN
Self motivated and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Meticulous and independent as well as a good team player
Strong analytical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ok to being based in the West part of Singapore (there will be bus pick ups from some MRT stations in the western side of Singapore)
