Job Description


Senior Perfumer – Scent/Perfumery/Cosmetics

- International Specialty Chemicals
- Pioneer for a new COE
- Team Lead Role
- Regional Customer needs- SEA/Middle East

I am currently working on an exclusive mandate a leading International Specialty Fragrance Business to help them identify a suitable candidate for a Senior Perfumer position based in Singapore. This role will be reporting to the Vice President of Global Innovation and will be leading a team of perfumers to develop fragrances for customers in Liquid applications.

Creation & Development.
- Able to create winning commercial fragrances
- Creation of new fragrances and reformulation of fragrances with priority focus on liquid product categories
- Development of fragrance bank.
- Creating cost effective versions for different applications.
- Evaluate fragrances hedonic, strength and retention
- Direct customer contacts to support commercial teams.

Raw material development and portfolio management
- Scrutinizing internal and external aroma chemicals, from within and different suppliers for their quality and application in fragrances.
- Deciding the raw materials for fragrance formulations.

Managerial and team development
-Mentoring/ guiding/ coaching a group of perfumers
- Build technical and perfumery capability amongst junior perfumers/ and trainee perfumers by way of conducting structured training as well as on the job training as per identified training needs.
- Fulfill high level of performance on projects and objectives

Requirements
- Degree in Science
- 10 to 20 years of experience in Fragrance creation/Perfume creation/Scent creation/Perfumery
- Solid knowledge in Aroma Molecules or Scent chemicals and ability to read GC and GCMS studies
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Experience in leading a team
