About the Job

This role involves design and delivery of an enterprise wide SAP solution within the delivery centre of excellence. This role will ensure quality of design, implementation and management of lifecycle delivery of changes globally for SAP applications used by BAT.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in designing the overall architecture and managing the implementation and deployment of complex SAP solutions.

  • Key focus within the change lifecycle of implementation of changes including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, impact assessment, presenting to the appropriate governance body for approvals, transition and supporting the change post implementation
  • Managing a team of internal and outsource resources. Provide guidance and coaching to the team.
  • Managing escalations within the areas and mitigation risk to delivery
  • Accountable in ensuring changes meet the change management processes/governance/criteria
  • Responsible for quality assurance complying with audits and SOX controls
  • Supporting change management, release and deployment management, service transition and service operations
  • Support and contribute to CSIP increasing quality/standards and driving towards lean organization
  • Engagement within team, across functions and cross delivery teams to establish ways of working and form good relationship dynamics
  • Outsource delivery partner, external vendors
  • Global, regional and local stakeholders

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in SAP within project implementation and/or support organization
  • Primary skillset in SAP technical strategy and planning
  • Knowledge on technical architecture analysis, design, build, test and deploy will be beneficial, particularly the following areas:
  • Develpment architecture
  • Executin architecture - technical strategy for archiving, printing, faxing, Batch scheduling etc
  • Operatins architecture – Backup and Recovery, Disaster recover, High availability etc,
  • Infrastructure architecture – Sizing, virtualizatin, desktops, networks etc.
  • Exposure to SAP HANA will be required.
  • Hands-on relating to SAP Basis, SAP ABAP activities and Technical architecture components
  • Define and manage sizing of the SAP solution and managing of process with the hardware provider / hosting provider
  • Advise on technical approach for all systems integrating to SAP Netweaver, BSoH, S/4 HANA & other like xECM & OpenText.
  • Manage 3rd party dependencies related to SAP environment
  • System landscape design and management experience in operations and project scenarios
  • Have working experience in areas of business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, designing solution, implementing feasible solution, conducting tests (FUT, SIT, UAT, RT), data conversion and supporting the solution
  • Complex ABAP programming, testing and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP modules
  • Understand the requirements from provided functional designs and transform these requirements into the technical designs
  • Close communication with functional teams /designers and build professional relationships with clients
  • Have good engagement and communication skills and is able to work with stakeholders from all levels and globally
  • Have good command of English, both oral and written

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices. Certification in ITIL professional examinations is beneficial
  • Knowledge in change management processes and implementation cycle/stages
  • Good understanding of SOX and how it applies within IT
