Job Description
My client is a world leader in scientific and analytical instruments and now seek an experienced Service Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for the installation, commissioning and service for Analytical and Scientific Instrument
  • Ensure regular maintenance and repair of the current installed base
  • Perform customer-site installation and acceptance testing of delivered systems
  • Perform customer-site retrofit of previously installed systems
  • Serve as customer contact on technical and service related matters
  • Provide training on software and hardware of instrument
  • Handling phone enquiry and remote session with customer
  • Promote service replacement parts and service contracts
  • Prepare service quotations to customer


Requirements:
  • Advanced Degree in Physics, Material Science, Material Engineering and Chemical Engineering with at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of analytical instruments and equipment
  • Prior working experience with analytical instruments (HPLC/GCMS/ Raman/Fluorescence Spectrometers) is preferred
  • Technical competence with lasers, optical alignment and concepts will be a big plus
  • Overseas travel of about 40%
