Job Description
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development, ownership and communication of the solution architecture for a project/program. This includes developing the context, integration, information, security, operations and infrastructure views of the architecture and their alignment with the business architecture.

• Reviews the technical design created by implementation teams and ensures its alignment with the solution architecture

• Collaborates with other architects to ensure integrity of assigned domain or solution architecture and partners with application development teams in validating and implementing proposed solutions.

• Leads or participates on matrixed team projects as assigned& participates in project planning, maintaining related project documents and/or architecture artifacts.

• Defines the system components, services, technologies, and design required to implement a solution that represents an intersection of elements from Business, Information, Application, and Technology architecture domains, and addresses a specific business opportunity or problem and maintains broad and deep understanding of multiple technologies, reference architectures and business applications.

• Facilitates business data analysis, acquisition and access analysis and design, DBMS optimization, archiving and recovery strategy, load strategy design, security and change management.

• Ensures existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise.

• Evaluates reusability of current data for additional analyses, and provide work guidance to lower level and project staff, and oversee the deliverables of consulting resources.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey architectural concepts to business and technology peers as well as senior management

Technical Skills "Must Have":

• Insurance Domain experience (Group Insurance or Life Insurance)

• Experience within the insurance industry preferably life insurance and General Insurance and/or annuities

• Broad and deep understanding of multiple technologies, reference architectures and design patterns in the areas of application and data integration (e.g. cloud/SaaS integration, web services, REST services, messaging, ETL, SFTP), information (e.g. Hadoop, data warehousing, master data management), security (e.g. identity and access management, single sign on, data encryption, vulnerability), operations (e.g. monitoring) and infrastructure (e.g. network connectivity, VPN, MPLS, back up, high availability, disaster recovery)

• Responsible for planning the development, specification and communication of an architecture domain and/or solution architecture.

• Experience in design and illustrate Solution Architecture for business-driven strategies and programs, and maintain expertise in the business process, the business applications, technology, and IT Strategy.

• Must be able to leverage the illustrations to clearly articulate the solutions to a broad range of stakeholders from senior business management to first-line developers and project managers.

• Should have good communication skills

• Effective influencing and negotiating skills.

• Should have Ability to perform stakeholder management

• Possess Good Documentation and presentation skills

Mandatory Relevant Experience:

• Experience within the insurance industry preferably life insurance and General Insurance and/or annuities

• Experience in architecting solutions that support core insurance capabilities such as product development, new business, sales, marketing, distribution, policy administration, billing, remittance and claims

• Should have worked for large digital transformation projects in solution design, application design and development.
